Why Don’t We Get Enough Of Them In Our Diet?

We no longer get enough of them in our diet because our food supply became deficient in them. Farmers realized that it was much easier to grow warm weather oils, Omega 6 oils, than Omega 3 oils, which are cold weather oils. And it was easier to process the warm weather oils as well, because they didn’t go rancid as quickly. We therefore started consuming many more Omega 6’s versus Omega 3’s. Unfortunately, most of the Omega 6’s produced today are also damaged due to the processing that they undergo.

So, we are left eating loads of damaged Omega 6 oils and very few, if any Omega 3 oils. We also eat very few dark green leafy vegetables anymore, which contain Omega 3’s, so we have become very deficient in these oils simply because we are fed what the food manufacturers produce, not what nature intended us to eat.
