It is very simple to make a quick milk-shake or smoothie, using your milk of choice, such as almond, rice or oat milk, a drop of natural vanilla essence, and a small banana. Adding their dose of oil blend and stirring it in, will result in a very smooth, creamy beverage, which they will never suspect contains this essential oil blend. You can try this too when you want a tasty, healthy, energy-filled drink during the day.
Unfortunately, when some children are told that they are being given something ‘healthy’, they often rebel and find reasons to avoid the food/s. And offering it on a spoon, alone, would not be the best approach either. It may be wiser to simply add a very small amount to their smoothie or fruit juice without telling them, and slowly increase the amount until they are consuming their full dosage. Starting with a very small amount simply removes the possibility that they will detect any different taste in the smoothie, although I have found the oil blend actually improves the flavor and texture, making it very creamy.
Many parents have found this to be the best approach, as I did when my children were younger. As children get older they see, feel and understand the benefits so will take their dosage with their food, as part of their daily routine. This is particularly true if they see you, the parent, also taking your daily dose.
